Every tote we sell has been through our multi-point inspection and quality assurance process. New totes arrive factory-fresh with full UN/DOT certifications. Rebottled totes feature a brand-new HDPE inner bottle inside a re-certified steel cage, giving you new-bottle performance at a fraction of the cost. Reconditioned totes have been cleaned, pressure-washed, inspected, and tested to ensure they are fully functional and ready for service.

We stock both 275-gallon and 330-gallon capacities in all three condition grades (A, B, and C). Food-grade totes come with cleaning certificates documenting prior contents and wash protocols. Industrial totes are cleaned and inspected for safe, reliable use in non-food applications. Volume discounts start at just 10 units, and full truckload orders of 48 to 80 totes receive our best per-unit pricing.

Not every IBC tote can be reconditioned or rebottled for reuse. When a container has reached the end of its service life due to structural damage, chemical contamination, or excessive wear, responsible recycling is the right answer. IBC Recycling Chicago processes end-of-life containers through a comprehensive recycling workflow that recovers value from every single component.

The HDPE polyethylene bottles are shredded, washed, and granulated into pellets that manufacturers use to produce new plastic products. Steel and aluminum cages are compressed and sent to certified metal recyclers where they are melted and reformed. Wooden pallets in good condition are repaired and returned to service; those beyond repair are chipped into mulch or biomass fuel. Even the valves, gaskets, and lids are sorted and recycled through their respective material streams.

Our zero-landfill commitment means that 100 percent of the material we receive is either reused or recycled. Nothing goes to a landfill. This commitment is independently verified through annual audits. Our fleet includes flatbed trucks for moderate loads, enclosed box trucks with liftgates for weather-protected delivery, 53-foot semi-trailers for full truckloads of 48 to 80 units, and forklift-equipped vehicles for jobsites without material handling equipment. Every vehicle meets DOT safety requirements, and every driver holds a valid CDL with annual hazmat awareness training. Same-day delivery is available for orders placed before noon within 50 miles of our facility.

A dirty or worn IBC tote does not need to be thrown away. Our professional cleaning and reconditioning services restore containers to like-new condition, extending their useful life by years and saving you the cost of buying new. We offer everything from basic rinse and inspection to full reconditioning with component replacement and UN/DOT re-certification.

Our flagship process is the seven-step reconditioning workflow. It begins with a thorough assessment of the tote, including prior contents verification using Safety Data Sheets. Residual materials are drained and disposed of according to EPA and RCRA guidelines. The HDPE bottle interior undergoes our certified triple-rinse protocol followed by high-pressure washing at 2,500 to 3,000 PSI. Worn components such as valves, gaskets, and lids are replaced with new parts. The tote is then leak-tested, inspected, and re-certified with updated UN/DOT markings.

For food-grade applications, we follow enhanced protocols that include potable water rinses at 180 degrees Fahrenheit, FDA-approved cleaning agents, and prior contents verification to ensure no non-food chemicals ever contaminated the bottle. Every food-grade tote ships with a Certificate of Cleaning. For rebottling, we replace the entire HDPE inner bottle with a brand-new one, giving you a fresh interior surface inside a proven, re-certified cage.

Standard IBC totes work for most applications, but when your operation has specific requirements that off-the-shelf containers cannot meet, our custom solutions service fills the gap. We modify, configure, and engineer IBC totes to match your exact operational needs, no matter how specialized.

Common modifications include custom valve configurations (camlock, ball valve, stainless steel, heated, multi-port), heating jacket integration for temperature-sensitive products, multi-tote manifold systems that connect containers into unified storage networks, and custom labeling with GHS-compliant hazard labels, barcodes, QR codes, and RFID tags for automated tracking.

For truly unique challenges, our engineering team designs and builds bespoke container solutions from the ground up. This includes mixing and agitation systems, secondary containment integration, gravity-feed dispensing stands, clean-in-place modifications, dust collection adapters, and custom cage reinforcement.
